About live locusts
Our live locusts are farm-reared, hand checked, and packed fresh in ventilated tubs with cardboard substrate. They are a high-protein staple feeder for many insectivorous reptiles, with less noise and smell than crickets.

Care and feeding
Keep locusts warm, dry, and well ventilated, ideally around 25-32C. Offer leafy greens such as kale, spring greens, or dandelion, and gut-load for 24 to 48 hours before feeding.
Split larger packs across more than one tub if needed and remove uneaten greens daily to keep the colony clean.

Common questions
How long will they live? With warmth, ventilation, and fresh greens, locusts usually keep well for one to two weeks.
Can I pause my subscription? Yes. You can skip, pause, reschedule, or cancel from your account before the next dispatch is prepared.
Are locusts suitable for chameleons? Yes, when correctly sized. Their movement makes them a useful feeder for many chameleons.
